American. No Dream.

Time floats by but nothing ever changes.
Another day, another dollar
Never enough to save any of it

Check to check, that’s the jist of it
To Victor goes the spoils
And Sally never wins

Stop telling Sally to buy a gun
She’s not afraid of anyone
Her only fear is if she’ll afford food on the table and a roof over her son.

Sally gets it done
Without help from anyone
She’s stretched too thin imagine
The American Dream

Blood, toil tears and sweat,
Just like Churchill said
Pay a toll to the government
and work util you’re dead

Fear and loathing
The cult of personality
Some get nothing
While others have greed
