Google Took Me to Montauk

I Googled up time travel to read about any new theories that I could find. A picture of Preston Nichols came up on the side. If Montauk is true, it’s not for me to decide. I don’t plan on digging into that. I want something a little more hopeful. I want to believe that it’s not too late.

So, I clicked on the News tab, which told me about a movie called “Welcome to Yesterday.” They were facing some sort of delay. And a time travel movie that I really like, “Happy Accidents.” It has Marisa Tomei, she’s so easy to love. It also stars Vincent D’Onofrio. I think he sort of looks like me. Depending on the sort of weight he’s carrying. And how I am keeping my beard.

There’s a lot of other factors here, but you get where I am going. We are all familiar with the attention span of the Internet. The mind wanders with the click of a mouse, and humans are most easily distracted. Like me, right now. Anyhow…

I finally clicked on an iO9 article called “All the Evidence that Time Travel is Happening All Around Us.” There was discussion of Montauk again. There’s supposedly a creature of some sort that lives in the time tunnels there. Brought from another dimension or something, I kind of lost interest. I want to believe in time travel. I already believe in monsters. There are monsters all around us, and they’re usually people.

After I read that the monster is electromagnetic, and that Montauk was once codenamed “Project Phoenix” I thought of X-men comics, so I went and read some of those instead. Jean Grey put me to bed. But, I saw Emma Frost in my dreams. Which is weird because I have always been more of a Psylock sort of guy. But, there’s a lot of great mutants. And I believe in evolution. I want to believe that it’s not too late.
