At least from my perspective, this man’s iconic films helped give geeks and weirdos a seat at the table. They made me feel like I fit in, even when I didn’t, and helped me believe that anything was possible. John Hughes films made being a teenager in the 80s more than tolerable, he made it seem normal. Thank you John Hughes. This geek often got the girl, often got a shot at whatever his dream was in the moment, and usually had a killer soundtrack while doing it. In learning of your passing, I couldn’t help but want to give you some credit for some of the best scenes in my own life. Thank you John Hughes.
